Especially the 458 for me. Car design nowadays is pure excess, so it's nice to see simpler designs from any automaker in general.

Nice to see we're on the same boat. The emphasis on form for makes like Jaguar, Volvo and Maserati are great for car design today.

Agreed, the way Car and Driver once put it, is that they focus on a strong basic shape without much tack on trim to make it stand out. That was in the 70's, but I think the same is still valid today, except instead of tack on trim, we get lots of creases and dramatic angles just for the sake of creases and angles.

Very true. I think we have all those creases and angles for "disguising" safety features, instead of incorporating them.
